Two weekends ago, I met up with this wonderful family in a park behind the Rochester Zoo for a family session. The weather was perfect, scenery was great, and this family could not have been more fun.
The two kiddos were so sweet, and warmed up to me really fast. The handsome little guy you see below even suggested a few places he wanted me to take pictures of the four of them.
Sure, near the end of the session we found a snake in the grass by our cars. But what's a good photo shoot without a little adventure? :)
I had such a fun time taking pictures of this family. We met in the village of Fairport, which is such a cute little town that I need to visit more. It was a very sunny day, and we walked by the canal and down main street, got some pictures on the bridge, and ended the session at a nearby park.
Mom and dad even got on the mini seesaw with their two boys. Pretty cool Mom and Dad, wouldn't you say? :)
Their two sons are so adorable; I hope that I get the chance to take pics of them again!
I recently had the privilege of taking pictures of Cooper, Rescue Pit's newest addition. This little guy made my job VERY easy. As soon as we started, he laid on the grass, paws outstretched, and instantly allowed for some adorable shots. (See the first few pics below).
Cooper is not only super cute, but pretty calm for a puppy his age, AND super cuddly.
Check him out below.
P.S. Have I mentioned how much I love photographing dogs? :)
Last Thursday evening, I met Stephen (one of the founders of Rescue Pit - a Rochester-based pit bull rescue organization), to take pictures of one of their newest dogs, Lilla. I have to say, I kinda fell in love with this sweet girl. After sniffing around for a few minutes, she let me take some adorable shots of her while Stephen helped nearby with a handful of treats. (Works like a charm on Zoey, too).
By the end of the shoot, I asked Stephen to hold my camera just so I could cuddle with her. She is very affectionate, and absolutely adorable. I've never been kissed so much by a dog. And I loved every second of it.
Also, she has a spot on her side that kind of looks like a heart. (See below).
Check out Rescue Pit's website to find out more about Lilla and their other amazing, adoptable dogs. :)
I thought it was fitting that my first blog post was about my dog, because I'll be honest. I'm quasi obsessed with her. I took a few pictures of Zoey in my mom's house to test out the low light capabilities of my new 35mm lens, which so far, I LOVE.
Then, we ventured to Allegany State Park to walk around the lake. So, I nabbed some pictures of her on one of the uninhabited cabin trails, which gave me some great scenery. Also, it's almost too easy to get her to sit for photos due to her absolute infatuation for treats.
Only going to post 4 photos from the day, to keep this one short. I don't want to overdo it on my first post.
Hi - It's me. Lauren. I hope you enjoy my blog - where I'll post some of my favorite pics from my shoots, along with a short write-up about the experience!
