These pictures were so fun to take. They were all taken on our annual trip to Southport with Adam's family. For the most part, I just wanted to take more casual, lifestyle-type pictures. So that's what I did.
I also got to visit my friend Andrew in Wilmington, where I was finally able meet his adorable son.
Keepin' this blog post short.
Here are the pics :)
The past few weeks have been really...up and down. We recently found out that my mom had a brain tumor. She's already had surgery, and she's doing so well. Her treatment journey is not done, but we're getting there. And her positivity and attitude have completely amazed me.
The other day, we were talking about maybe taking some photos of her, now that her hair has been buzzed and she's got a pretty kick ass incision on her head. I wanted to make her feel...."cool," and help her to be able to look back on this time with a smile on her face. My mom came up with the idea of mimicking Charlize Theron's character in the movie, Mad Max Fury Road. If you haven't seen that movie; see it.
So we got some make up, drove around Salamanca and found a few different cool locations to take these pictures. Truthfully, I wasn't 100% sure how the pictures would turn out. I wanted her to look badass. However, I absolutely LOVE them. I hope she does, too.
So yeah...the past few weeks have been really up and down....but mostly, they've been really inspiring. Like... kick-ass-kind-of-inspiring.
This is my fourth shoot with this family. I love repeat clients. :) I've had the chance to see their kiddos get bigger, and more and more cute.
A few weekends ago, we met at one of the parks across from Lake Ontario, near Durand Eastman golf course. Complete with playground, pretty trees, and lots of shade :) The kids got to play, while I chased them around snapping pics (which I love).
We did encounter a few bugs, which Hailey was NOT a fan of, but she was a trooper. Hopefully I'll be able to work with this family again in the future!
Hi - It's me. Lauren. I hope you enjoy my blog - where I'll post some of my favorite pics from my shoots, along with a short write-up about the experience!
