Last weekend I met Shawna and Neil at the St. Bonaventure campus in Allegany, NY (where Neil went to college). We met to take their engagement pictures. :) It was a PERFECT night, and the Bona's campus is beautiful, so we got some great shots.
I've known Shawna since I was diagnosed with breast cancer a few years ago, because she was too, around the same time. We hadn't known each other prior, but it so helpful to be able to talk to someone who knew almost EXACTLY what I was going through, and EXACTLY the same time. And out of it all, we became friends. Obvi. :)
Shawna and Neil have actually known each other for a long time. They actually dated in high school, and reconnected...years and years later. And now they're getting married. Pretty romantic, and pretty freaking cool. :)
I can't wait to shoot their weeding next summer! They are such a fun pair, and so easy going.
I hope you love your pics, Shawna and Neil! xoxoxo
I took pictures of these two sweet sisters two years ago. And now, they have a little brother! I think that calls for a photo shoot, huh? :)
I was able to take pictures of these three kiddos last weekend. We met in Allegany State Park, and it ended up being a lot of fun! The girls were so good (as usual), and baby William gave me so many smiles. I was able to get some adorable pictures of the three of them (yay!)
I hope Mom and Dad love these pics as much as I do!
This is the first time I've taken pictures for this adorable family. Hopefully it won't be my last. I went to high school with Becky and Aaron, and boy do they make cute kids!
I had so much fun taking pictures of these two. Brennan smiled in EVERY. SINGLE. PICTURE that I took of him. And Bria warmed up to me really fast - she even held me hand and let me carry her around for a few minutes.
I was even able to get a few pictures of their doggy, Ava. Have I mentioned how much I love dogs? :)
I hope you enjoy your pictures Becky and Aaron! :)
I also took these shots at the high school in Randolph, NY. This is Jon, my sister's boyfriend. He didn't really want senior pictures, but I kinda forced him to let me take some for him. :)
Such a great guy, with a great smile. He was easy to make laugh, so it made my job easy!
Have a great senior year, Jon!
Last weekend, I met Sam at his high school (Randolph, NY) to take his senior photos. We only had one hour before it started down pouring. Luckily, that made the lighting ideal. Unfortunately, the clock was ticking and we were at the mercy of Mother Nature, which is often the case.
However, I love how Sam's pictures turned out. He shared with me that he's never had professional pictures done, but you would never know. He's super photogenic and is a lot of fun.
I hope you like your pics, Sam! And I wish you a fun and amazing senior year!
A super quick headshot session with my dear friend, but wowza did we get some amazing pictures.
We took these at Colgate during golden hour. Pretty easy to get great shots with amazing lighting, a beautiful setting, and a gorgeous subject.
Love the LaManna's. This is my 4th or 5th shoot with them, and I enjoy it every time. These two girls are two of the most polite, best behaved children ever. Plus they're super super cute. Photographer's dream come true.
We met at Lake Ontario near Holt Rd. in Webster, on a beautiful morning. Luckily, there weren't that many people around, and we got amazing pictures in record time.
What could make this morning even better, you ask? Let me tell you. We got to pet a German Shepard puppy named Rio, and yes, I had to take pictures of her. She's included in this blog post. :) Note: Rio is not the LaManna's puppy, but I had to include pictures of her because I love love love dogs.
Thank you again Andy and Cori for letting me take pictures of your amazing family again! I hope you like the pictures, and that my camera and I will get to hang out with all of you again soon ;)
Meet the adorably cute Frazier family. They reached out to me from a past client referral. (Yay for referrals!) They used to live in Rochester, right near Corbett's Glen, but now live in the New England area.
While they were in town visiting, we were able to schedule a shoot, and met at... you guessed it. Corbett's Glen. I love this place, and it was super meaningful to them, so easy choice!
We had so much fun, lots of laughs, especially with little Harper. How cute is this little girl? Even though the shoot ended with me sitting on a bee and getting stung, it was still a great day.
Enjoy the pics, Frazier family!
Wow. Sammy is such a gorgeous girl. You'll see as you scroll :).
One of my best friends used to work with Sammy's mom; that's how we connected. I've never met Sammy, but you would never have guessed that after we started. It was such an easy-going, fun shoot. We met at a friend's house in Pittsford, where there were woods, open fields, and an amazing, old Chevy truck that they let us use. Lastly, we drove to a huge sunflower field nearby.
Sammy's eyes lit up as the truck pulled up, and she couldn't stop staring at it. And I can't say I blame her, after seeing how the pictures of her turned out with that Chevy. Although I'm pretty sure Sammy could make any object look amazing.
This was another great senior shoot - one of my favorite shoots to do! Thank you to Sammy and her mom for letting me share this experience with you. I hope you both love these pictures as much as I do.
Best of luck to you in your senior year and beyond graduation, Sammy! I have no doubt you'll do adventurous and amazing things! :)
How beautiful is this girl? This is Megan - the daughter of one of my dear friends, Joanna. I actually used to babysit Megan and her younger sister. Now she's going to be a senior. I'm old.
Anyway, I digress. I was so excited when Joanna asked me to take Meg's senior pictures. She's such a sweet, fun girl, so I knew the photoshoot would be a blast. And I was right. Joanna even came along and helped, which made it MORE fun! She carried my huge reflector around for me that's super hard to break down, and made us laugh when she said "is that a reflector in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me."
I am still laughing about that line, and this shoot happened 10 days ago.
We took these pictures at the barn first, to get pictures of Meg with one of her favorite horses. We then went to Colgate Divinity School in the city, and ended up at Highland Park. Two of my favorite places to take pictures.
You look amazing in these pictures, Meg, and I hope they remind you of how much fun we had this day. Congrats on your senior year, chica. Enjoy every second. XOXO
Hi - It's me. Lauren. I hope you enjoy my blog - where I'll post some of my favorite pics from my shoots, along with a short write-up about the experience!
