I headed to this shoot AFTER a Bills loss. However, once I met this family, including their sweet little girl, Charlotte, my mood instantly changed.
We met near Durand golf course, where we got a couple of cool shots on the #10 tee box. Then, we headed over to a park nearby. We ended the shoot near the lake, even though it was chilly. (Gotta love Western New York). :) This family was so easy to work with, which makes my job so much easier. I am very pleased with how their pictures turned out; I hope they like them just as much as I do!

This is not the first time I've taken pictures of these two, and I hope it's not my last. I traveled with my friend Meghan to her parent's house in Syracuse for the weekend to take pictures of her son, Max, and niece Maddy. Not only do I love taking pictures of these two kiddos, but I love hanging out with Meghan's family, too.
Max and Maddy clearly love each other, and it shows in the pictures. They're a year apart, and already such great friends. (In fact, when Maddy left on Sunday morning, Max ran into the other room and told us "now I don't have anyone to play with!") I'm pretty sure that Papi enjoyed the kids' visit, as well. (Chihuahua seen below) :) So yesterday, I was able to meet this sweet girl and capture some pictures of her. She is ridiculously adorable, very sweet, and so cuddly. She just wanted to sit in my lap in between playing.
However, my favorite part (which I was able to capture - see below), was when Piper sat on the deck and intently watched John (one of Rescue Pit's founders), walk around the circumference of the deck. Then, as soon as he made it to the deck, she ran over and greeted him with a wagging tail and lots of kisses. Miss Piper is currently available for adoption from the amazing rescue group Rescue Pit in Rochester, NY. Do yourself a favor and contact them to meet this sweet girl. I was fortunate to meet Julie after I had breast cancer surgery. She was my physical therapist and did an amazing job helping me to get back to normal. A little over a year later, she asked me to photograph her wedding (obvi I said "yes"). :)
Scott and Julie were married in September at the Shadow Lake golf course in Penfield, NY. Sure, it absolutely poured that day, but that didn't stop this amazing couple from having the most memorable day. We had to move the ceremony from outside by the pond to an indoor room, but the reception was still held underneath a beautiful outdoor tent, adorned with gorgeous white lights (my favorite). Their friends and family were a blast; you can tell how much Scott and Julie are truly loved. Thank you to both of them to allowing me to capture their special day. |
