One of my favorite families to photograph. I've taken their pictures quite a few times, so I was super excited to be asked again.
I went to their house this time, and since they live near Corbett's Glen, it was a perfect location! I got to see the kids first in their "outfit of choice," and then after they changed, we took a nice walk into the woods together and got some more shots. These kiddos are so amazingly good, and it's always a great time taking their family's pictures and seeing them grow. xoxo

Finally. After about 3 reschedules due to weather, I was finally able to meet up with the Dorscheid family to take their family pictures. I used to work with Elizabeth, and I was so excited when she asked me to take pictures of them all!
We met last Sunday afternoon at Colgate (one of my favorite shoot locations in Rochester). It was a cloudy, somewhat windy afternoon, but that lends for some pretty awesome lighting. It also started sprinkling JUST as we finished up the shoot. Phew. It was so great to meet this family. The kids were so great. One of them was even named Lauren..... pretty cool name. :) I hope you enjoy your pics everyone! Thanks for being such a fun group! Last weekend, I met the Clark family at Durand Golf Course on a beautiful Sunday morning. We went to a little park across the street from Lake Ontario for their family shoot. I love fall - the leaves have started changing, and that makes for some pretty scenery.
The Clark kiddos are SUCH good kids - so well behaved, and listened so well. We even got a few funny photo bomb pictures (not listed below). We wanted to do some pictures of leaf throwing, but there wasn't quite enough yet on the ground; I think we would have gotten hit in the faces with some sticks. Maybe next year :) I hope you enjoy your pics, Clark family! xoxo Last weekend I drove out to Williamson to take pictures of the Chesher family. I've actually never been there, but the drive was gorgeous.
Michael, Leslie and their kiddos were moving into their new house...right in front of a huge apple orchard AND Lake Ontario. Talk about some scenery. We first started in the orchards, which their neighbors were kind of enough to let us use for pictures, and then made our way down to the lake. Their kids were so great, and we had so much fun walking around and stopping for pictures here and there. They were troopers :) Congrats to the Cheshers on their new, beautiful home. I hope it brings your family years and years of happiness. And thank you for asking me to capture some memories on your very first day there. <3 Two Saturday's ago, I was able to photograph Megan and Mike's wedding. I know Megan from high school, and I was so excited when she asked me to be their photographer.
They got married at the Hotel Lafayette in downtown Buffalo. I've never been there, so I looked up lots and lots of pictures online, but they didn't do it justice. I was SOOOO excited when I got to see this place in person. Beautiful inside and outside. Megan and Mike's ceremony took place in one of the outdoor courtyards in the hotel, and their reception was in one of the banquet rooms. Both were beyond gorgeous. Megan and Mike both LOVE Buffalo, so in addition the amazing Buffalo Bills and Sabres cupcakes and wedding cake, we went to Buffalo's canal side for some photos of the two of them. They really wanted a Buffalo presence in their pictures, and I loved that. Everything about this wedding was beautiful, including the love these two have for each other. It was so amazing to get to spend time with both of them before they had their first look; to see how excited they were to marry each other. I think you can absolutely see this love in their wedding pictures. Congratulations Megan and Mike. I hope these photographs always bring you back to the magic and love of your special day. <3 Oh, and Go Bills. This past weekend, I met Katie and Kip in Byron to take pictures for a few very special reasons.
Not only are they celebrating their 1-year wedding anniversary, but also that they will be parents to a baby boy in March! HOORAY! These two were so nice and fun to work with. And although it was a little windy the day we shot these pictures, the scenery was AMAZING. Cloudy skies, huge green fields, an old rustic barn, pumpkins, hay bales, and baby cows. <3 I wish these two continued happiness, and a big congratulations for their upcoming journey as parents. I hope they love their pictures! Last week, I was contacted by Steve, who was referred to me by his co-worker, Brittany. I had taken her headshot portraits a few months ago. I love, love, love getting referred by previous clients! Makes me smile. :)
I met Steve at Colgate, clearly one of my favorite places to do portraits. Steve and I immediately got along, and I quickly found out that he, (like myself), had gone to Geneseo. We laughed quite a bit, and he was super easy-going, which made taking his pictures really fun. I really love how his portraits turned out. The scenery at Colgate is beautiful, and the time of day made the lighting perfecto. Yes, perfecto. Hope you like your pictures, Steve! |
