I've been wanting to do a styled shoot for a long time. Things have been busy, but then I met Lexie. She's obviously gorgeous, but she's also such a cool, laid back girl. We instantly got along, so I felt perfectly comfortable asking her if she would be the model for my vision.
Quite a bit of planning was involved in this shoot. Where to take the pictures? What should she wear? Should I bring any props? Luckily, everything fell into place. Through a Rochester photography Facebook page, I found a local make up artist who agreed to do Lexie's make up. Her name is Tierney Messmer, check out her site here. She was not only cool, but she's REALLLLLLLY good. Lexie and I both loved her make up. My friend Sarah, who had recently made a bunch of floral bunny crowns for her baby's 1st birthday party helped me make one of the floral crowns that we used, the ones with real flowers, which was NOT easy. She did such an amazing job. We took the pictures mainly in Ontario, in various orchards. We finished at Webster park, near the water. I was pretty nervous about this shoot. Only because I was worried that the pictures would not turn out the way I was envisioning them. However, I have to say... this is probably my most favorite shoot. Ever. I am typically really hard on myself with most things in my life. And my photography is no exception. But I am really proud of how these pictures turned out. And on top of that, I had SO MUCH FUN. What more can you ask for? Thank you so much for everyone that helped my vision come to fruition, especially Miss Lexie. Love you girlie! When can we do this again? :)
